Foaming Hand Soap
I try to save money when I can and re-use/recycle as often as possible. Foaming hand soap is an easy way to accomplish both of these goals… and it takes less than 5 minutes to make!
This is also a great activity to do with kids. My son loves to help mix and pour.
Ingredients for an 8.5oz dispenser
- 7 oz distilled water
- 4 TBSP Castile Liquid Soap (Dr. Bronner’s is my favorite)
- 3-4 drops of essential oil (optional)
- ½ tsp liquid oil ( I personally like almond oil or grapeseed oil)
Place water in bowl. Add soap, essential oils and liquid oil. Mix (gently so as not to get too many suds) and pour into foaming hand soap dispenser. Boom! Done.
Yup. That easy.
If you are only doing one dispenser, you can skip the bowl and just mix directly in the soap dispenser. Just make sure to put the water in first so it doesn’t create bubbles.
Ideas:
For extra germ killing action– use Thieves and lemon essential oil
Calming– Lavender and chamomile essential oils.
Invigorating– Rosemary and peppermint essential oils
Citrus – lemon, lime and orange or tangerine.
